Real Estate Client Reviews

"Grant was wonderful in assisting me with my first home purchase. He was always open and available to answer any questions that I had throughout the process. I ultimately bought the first house that Grant showed me. He really listened to what I was looking for and worked hard to show me homes that truly fit my needs. I will be recommending Grant to everyone I know!" -Corey G.

"When we were looking to purchase our first home, we gave Grant ideas of price, size, school zone etc., and he came up with several homes that fit into our search. We picked a home the same day that we started looking, and a contract was agreed upon by all parties within a few days! The entire process from start to finish took less than 30 days, and he made everything SUPER easy!" -Kristina K.

"Grant was my realtor in the purchase of my first home, and then again in the purchase of my second home! He made the process very easy and gave us so much insight into the area where we were purchasing. Grant will give you the honest answers that you need when buying or selling your home. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell in the area!"- Katie T.

"Grant was great to work with. We moved to Tuscaloosa from Texas and Grant was able to get us familiar with the area and real estate market fast. He is professional, knowledgeable, but also fun to work with."-Rachel W.

"Grant is a wonderful realtor! He was super helpful and always worked with our crazy schedules! Plus, I was 8/9 months pregnant! Even with our other 2 kids, he never stopped a beat! Great personality and really tries to find you the best home for you! Highly recommend!!"  - Amy R

"I was referred to Grant from several of my friends who raved about his professionalism, helpfulness, and positive attitude. From our first meeting, we loved Grant! He is so kind and sincere (we loved his hugs) and we knew he had our best interest at heart! He made everything less scary and confusing and truly held our hand through the entire process which wasn't a long process because we sold the house and purchased a new home in 1-2 months!" - Tracy H

Should You Use a Real Estate Agent During Your Home Search?

According to the National Association of Realtors, roughly 90% of homebuyers use a real estate agent in the search process. While some home sellers may have their initial doubts about using "listing agents" to sell their home, buyers should be careful not to confuse the two types of agency relationships-- Listing Agents and Buyers Agents.

While many agents frequently work as either buyers agents or sellers agents, there are important distinctions in their respective roles and duties toward their clients in a given transaction. For example, both agents can set up home tours, but unlike a listing agent who represents the seller, a buyer's agent protects the buyer's interests during the crucial negotiating and closing process. In some instances, agents can work for both the buyer and the seller in the same transaction but this has to be disclosed and agreed to by both parties. In any case, the buyers agent is the one who sets up most of the showings, is the go-between between you,the buyer, and the sellers, bargains with the seller on the selling price, facilitates the home inspection, negotiates contingencies and generally represents the buyer throughout the entire buying process. Shopping without a buyer’s agent is becoming increasingly more rare due to the fact that it generally doesnt save the buyer money to "go it alone" and most buyers are not familiar enough with the buying process to absorb the risk. As much as anything, a buyer's agent can make the process easier by taking a lot of the responsibilities off of the clients.
